Designing EdTech Poster with Canva

My Enhancing with EdTech poster for Assignment5: Educational technology proposal for enhancing the Fundamentals of Game Design and Development course was built using Canva with a modification of ‘Why do we needa business plan?’ template. The logos were edited using Pixlr.

Tool Evaluation

I’m a designer and I usually use Adobe Illustrator and Photoshop. To explore online options to professional products, I looked at several free online image editors to create the poster, including:

  • Canva
  • Vectr
  • Lucid press
  • Gravit Designer

I arrived at using Canva primarily due to ease of use (access to templates and tools) and quality of its templates. Canva offers logos, most for a price ($1 usually), and free, uneditable ones without transparency. I used Pixlr to save the WordPress and Trello logos as PNGs with transparent areas.
